Education, not medical advice
The content on bioritam.eu, in the Rhythm Map, the guide “Fasting by the body clock” and the BioRitam 21 program is educational. It explains what research says about meal timing, sleep, light and the body clock.
This content:
- is not medical advice,
- is not intended to diagnose, treat, relieve or prevent any disease,
- does not replace an examination or advice from a doctor, registered dietitian or other health professional.
The Rhythm Map makes suggestions from your answers using general rules. It does not assess your health.
Who is behind the content
The content is written by the BioRitam editorial team (Redakcija BioRitam). We do not have an expert reviewer yet. That is why we cite sources (studies and official guidelines) and rate the strength of the evidence for our claims, so you can see for yourself how well supported something is. How we choose sources is described on the How we choose evidence page.
When to talk to a doctor first
Before you change your meal timing, start fasting or try time-restricted eating, talk to a doctor if you:
- are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding,
- have type 1 or type 2 diabetes, or use insulin or other glucose-lowering medication,
- have or have had an eating disorder,
- take medication, especially medication that must be taken with food or at fixed times,
- have heart, kidney, liver or thyroid disease, low blood pressure or a tendency to low blood sugar,
- are under 18,
- work night shifts and have health complaints.
If you get symptoms such as dizziness, severe weakness, fainting or a racing heart, stop and contact a doctor. In an emergency call 112 in the EU or 194 in Serbia.
Health claims
We do not claim that any food, meal plan or program cures or prevents disease. We keep claims about food in line with Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006 on nutrition and health claims and Serbian rules. Results vary from person to person, and we do not promise any particular outcome, including weight loss.
Fasting
The guide “Fasting by the body clock” treats Orthodox fasting as a way of eating. It does not give religious advice. For questions about how to fast, talk to your spiritual father; for health questions, talk to your doctor.
Responsibility
You use the content at your own responsibility. For health decisions, consult a doctor.
